NTA UGC NET Syllabus June 2019

(Formerly CBSE UGC NET)

UGC NET Syllabus: The University Grant Commission (UGC) has revised the syllabus of All subjects (including Paper 1) for June 2019 onwards. The new syllabus has been prepared according to the new pattern of UGC NET exam. The new pattern of UGC NET exam is based on a computer (CBT) along with some other changes. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has the responsibility to conduct the upcoming UGC NET exam from 20th to 28th June 2019 in CBT (Computer Based Test) Mode.

Till July 2018, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the UGC NET exams across the country. From December 2018, the UGC NET exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) according to the new pattern of UGC NET exam

 

The UGC NET Syllabus of all subjects has been revised according to the new pattern of UGC NET exam. 

New Pattern of UGC NET Exam:

NTA UGC NET June 2019 exam will be held in two combined sessions as under:

Paper Marks Number of Question Duration
I 100 50     questions:      all      are compulsory 03 hours

(09:30 am to

12:30 pm) IST

03 hours

(02:30 pm to

05:30 pm) IST

II 200 100     questions:      all      are compulsory

 

Paper- I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The Paper I shall consist of 50 (fifty) compulsory multiple choice questions and each question will carry 2 marks.

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
